Why do people continue the practice of faxing only the signature pages of agreements??? Twenty years ago, when fax paper was heat sensitive and came on rolls like paper towels, I could understand the desire to save pages of expensive paper. If you are old enough, you may remember that the very first thing you did with a fax was to photocopy it. That's because if you put it in your briefcase, left your briefcase in a hot car, the fax would be ruined. (The same thing happens with credit card slips which continue to use the same kind of thermal paper.)
But, for anyone who has used a fax machine in the past 10 years, you may have noticed that the paper it uses is the same as your copier or printer. It's cheap, long lasting and easy to use.
Faxing a signature copy page only is an incomplete document. Who knows what is on the other pages? You may feel like you are saving a tree. But unless you are using digital signatures exclusively, no trees are being saved. It feels like an especially ridiculous habit when I receive the signature page of a document that's only 3 pages long.
If you want to save a tree, I would suggest decreasing the number of people copied on a physical agreement and just forward a scanned copy. But don't send part of a signed agreement. It nullifies the whole reason for having a written agreement. That reason, by the way, is to avoid misunderstandings and confusions in the future.
In the future, please, the fax and nothing but the whole fax, ma'am.

Hey..Thanks for opening my eyes. I still taking the use of faxing for for sending and receiving signature pages without thinking about the saving of trees. I was also not aware with that now technology has been improved lot. And we can also take the help of Digital signatures as well.
